A little over a week in and what an experience it has been so far! We want to thank all of you for your support!
A question we've been getting asked frequently... Why the name Droopy Drawers? Fair question! It's really a 3 part answer!
Part 1: The Droop
Droopy, the co- founder of DD served in the Marine Corps for 34 years and was given the iconic call sign of "Droopy." The name stuck wherever Droop went and to this day I've yet to hear someone outside of my mother refer to him by his god given name, Mark.
Part 2: The Wild Colors
Growing up with Droopy as my father, I got the pleasure of seeing the wild and vibrant colors he would wear when outside of uniform.
I'll never forget as a young boy taking the bus home from school and watching a grown man in pink shorts, a neon fanny pack with a 20 lb. tire tied to his back running in the middle of the road.
" Dude is that your dad?"
Indeed, that maniac is my father.
It's true what those progressive commercials say, they can't prevent you from turning into your parents. With each passing day, I find myself striving to wear loud colors that mirror what my father wears. While I've yet to develop the need to wear a fanny pack in public, my wardrobe is slowly morphing into my dads.
Part 3: A love for exercise
Our main reason for starting this business venture outside of an excuse to make the wildest running shorts we could never find.... exercise.
Regardless of who you are, after exercising you are in a far better mood. Weather you are an ultra runner, cross-fitter, new to exercise or someone who runs solely so they can enjoy a beer after...(Like myself) our goal is to provide you with a quality product that will help you achieve just that while also looking great!
We have spent the last two years testing hundreds of samples to ensure we have provided you with top notch athletic wear that never fails when you need it most.
